Needed a dimmer switch for a room light, and saved a couple dollars by picking one up on Ebay instead of the local hardware store. Bonus is that my new light switch, in addition to sporting an array of LEDs, reportedly contains a microprocessor. Hackable for Cylon/KITT blinkenlights pattern? Pondering a Linux port.

A friend whose husband just accidentally bought a batch of five old computers on Ebay suggested jokingly that she'd like to be able to technologically enforce a window-shopping-only policy. These two Junkbuster blockfile rules may help:
