sigbegone.el

sigbegone.el is an Emacs add-on that visually de-emphasizes emails sigs, especially the advertisements appended to messages by some free email account providers.

This animated GIF mockup shows sigbegone.el: (1) de-emphasizing a standard ad sig, (2) allowing the user to make the sig temporarily more readable by moving the mouse over it, (3) letting the user use a few keypresses to "denounce" a sig, and (4) displaying the message with the full newly-recognized sig de-emphasized.
