Update: I currently have a term appointment as Research Scientist at MIT, which occupies most of my time.

I recently worked on several software aspects of a large system involving aircraft safety, primarily in Scheme. Other recent work involved airline datacommunication protocols for a different organization, in Common Lisp, and analysis projects for two high-tech startups.

In general, I work in Internet application R&D. I have professional and academic experience in innovative research, systems architecture, software engineering, various programming languages and paradigms, human factors engineering, Internet/Web technologies, information security, privacy and societal issues, and a variety of application domains. I've held senior-level industry technical positions with emphasis on aerospace/datacomm-grade software, and earned advanced degrees in Computer Science and new media. I leverage this background for solving new problems.
